Adventure Sets

Crash bars are essential to every protection set and provide crucial protection for the engine and fairing in the event of a crash. Made of robust or stainless steel, these bars absorb impact energy, preventing costly damage. Additional upper crash bars protect the fairing on specific models, such as the BMW R 1200 GS. These bars are reinforced for durability, fit any motorcycle model, and are ideal for both on- and off-road touring. They effectively protect the engine, radiator, and fairing from direct impacts.

Adventure motorcycles are subject to rock strikes, rough terrain and ground contact. A sturdy, robust engine guard made of aluminum sheet protects the engine from external damage and reduces the risk of punctures or structural wear. Some sets also include an engine guard extension that protects vulnerable areas such as the centerstand or front underbody. The aluminum construction ensures a lightweight yet robust cover and protects the engine housing, exhaust and lower frame. For certain models, such as the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, extended versions provide better coverage and basic protection for offroad and long-distance riders.

Handguards provide basic protection against wind, weather, flying objects and obstacles on the road. The KOBRA handguards, which are included in most protection sets, are made of impact-resistant materials to protect the rider's hands and the motorcycle controls. However, due to bike-specific requirements, the sets for the Yamaha MT-09 and BMW F 700 GS / F 800 GS do not include handguards. These protectors shield the brake and clutch levers from damage in the event of a crash, protect hands from environmental hazards and are available in reinforced plastic or aluminum versions to suit various riding needs. They are particularly valuable for adventure, touring and offroad conditions.

Some protection sets, including those for the Yamaha MT-09, KTM, BMW and Triumph, include axle crash pads to protect the front and rear wheel components. These pads absorb the impact forces in the event of a slip, thus reducing damage to the fork and swing arm. They are made of abrasion-resistant materials and offer a durable yet lightweight solution. Easy to install, they do not affect ground clearance, making them a smart addition for riders who travel over rough terrain or in the city.

On certain models, the protection set includes engine guard sets that provide an additional layer of safety for the left and right engine guard. These components help to prevent structural damage in the event of a crash or collision and ensure that the engine remains functional even after an impact. They provide enhanced protection for exposed engine covers, reduce the risk of oil leaks and case breakage, and are made from lightweight yet highly durable materials. These guards are available for selected touring and cruiser motorcycles.
